(Creating artificial or constructed wetlands in urban areas can also contribute to flood attenuation, water quality improvement and habitat and landscape enhancement). - Based on Stella definitions, adapted by NWRM project experts and validated by the European Commission Links Relation type Narrower Concept Wetlands Relation type Narrower Concept Natural Water Retention Measure External links Themes urban area natural area Type of action Restoration Maintenance Biophysical benefits Flood protection Biodiversity enhancement Retention & Detention Full Context Pathway(aka Context) Default view Area(aka Level or Site) ALL
