ePLANETe allows project partners and coordinators to actively contribute to the platform by managing content, collaborating with team members, and customizing project spaces. Whether you’re a partner looking to contribute content or a project coordinator overseeing the platform’s use, this section outlines the key tools and workflows available to facilitate collaboration.

Membership procedures:

There are several ways to become a member of a project and gain access to contribute to ePLANETe:

  • User-initiated membership: Users can request membership to a project directly through the platform. Once the request is submitted, a project coordinator will review and approve the membership.

  • Coordinator-initiated membership: Project coordinators can invite users to join the project by sending an invitation via email. Once users accept the invitation, they are granted access to contribute to the project.

  • CSV import: For projects with a large number of members, coordinators can upload a CSV file to bulk import user data. This allows for easy management of multiple users and their roles.

Content management roles and workflows:

ePLANETe offers a flexible content management system with clearly defined roles and workflows to ensure smooth collaboration:

  • CRUD operations: Content management is based on the Create, Read, Update, Delete model, allowing authorized users to create and edit project materials, manage documents, and delete outdated or irrelevant content.

  • Editorial chain: The platform supports a collaborative editorial workflow, where content creation, editing, and approval processes are managed by multiple users with different roles (e.g., authors, editors, coordinators). This ensures that content is reviewed, validated, and published in a structured manner.

Creating project-specific portals, user avatars, and managing collaborative spaces:

  • Project-specific portals: Project coordinators can create dedicated portals for each project, where all relevant information, tools, and resources are gathered in one place. These portals serve as the central hub for project activities, enabling seamless access to project-specific content.

  • User avatars: Each user can create and manage their own avatar, which is associated with their profile. Avatars help to personalize the platform experience and are used for identification and collaboration purposes within project spaces.

  • Managing collaborative spaces: Coordinators and contributors can manage collaborative spaces where teams can interact, share resources, and discuss ideas. These spaces are designed to enhance teamwork and foster active collaboration within the platform.

By understanding these tools and workflows, project coordinators and partners can efficiently contribute to and manage content within ePLANETe, creating a collaborative environment that supports project goals and knowledge sharing.
