Project aims to secure the long-term conservation of the five bird species included in Annex I of the Birds Directive and the sustainable management of their wetland habitats around the city of Burgas. With a duration of 4 years it was carried out in coordination with Bourgas Municipality, Chernomorsk sonitsi JSC, BBF and RSPB. Light or indepth? Key lessons Implementation of large and complex restoration project requires significant efforts to ensure coordination and support from various authorities at early stage. Sometimes the legal procedures for coordination may take years.
